Higher (For my Dad)

Eagle flies, Open skies
Pale moonlight, Taking flight
Overseas, Feel the breeze
Colors fade, Life is made
Spread my wings, Spirit sings
Love has come, Nothing undone
All is seen, Love's wind I lean
Take me higher, Burdens lighter
Above the clouds, Your love shrouds
In Your peace, Is sweet release
Your child takes flight, In Truth is light
Your beauty gleams,
Give me strength to fulfill my dreams

Catching raindrops with my tongue
With the river by my side
Saying this is the best I ever had
With the river by my side
"God give me more"
With the river by my side
"I'm thirsty in this barren land"
With the river by my side
Lapping like a dog
With the river by my side
Only ankle deep
With the river by my side
