Milk & Meat

Cows are a source of milk and meat. As believers in Christ, we should be feeding on “the milk and the meat” of God’s Word. We want Virgin Cow to be a source to get that “milk and meat.”

1 Peter 2:2 NIV says “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”

But just as babies grow and start eating solid foods (meat), we as Christians should be growing too, and start eating the “meat” of God’s Word (1 Corinthians 3:1-15, Hebrews 5:12-14, Hebrews 6: 1-2).

We should continually grow and change. We should become mature and trained.

2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV says “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.”

2 Peter 1:10, 12 says “Make every effort to confirm your calling and election. So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.”

2 Timothy 2:15 says “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

The following are articles, writings, and personal Bible studies I have done and also upcoming events that will help you grow in God’s Word, challenge your faith, and even change your paradigm.

Once A… Always A…

I have heard several people say things like “People don’t change,” or “Once a cheater, always a cheater.”

I have to say I disagree with that.

Let’s break this down into simple, natural terms:

Are you the same as you were when you were an infant?

Do you only have the same knowledge and educational level that you had in elementary school?

Of course not, because you learned ...

What Others Think

A lot of people say “You shouldn’t care what others think.” I want to look at both sides of that. I want to show you why you shouldn’t care AND why you SHOULD care.

First of all, why should you not care?

If you are walking in God’s will for you and doing what He is telling you to do, then you shouldn’t necessarily care if others agree ...

Put Your Heart And “Sole” Into It

In Luke 10:27, Jesus said “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”

Luke 6:45 says “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth ...

God Will Put More On You Than You Can Handle

A lot of people say “God will not put more on you than you can handle.”

That is not necessarily true.

Here is where they probably get that from.

1 Corinthians 10:13 says “There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able (beyond what you can ...

The Meaning of Life

Why are we here? What is the purpose of life?

Because God is Love (1 John 4:8,16), I believe He originally created humans to share that love and show how much He loves. He created the earth and everything in it for our pleasure and enjoyment to show humans how much He loves us. He wanted to demonstrate His love and share His love. He wanted people to know how much He was ...

You Are Not A "Sinner Saved By Grace!"
Are we perfect? No.
1 John 1:8 says "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."
And, verse 10 says "If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and His word is not in us."
But, look at verse 9... "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our ...

"Prosperity Preachers" and "Mega Churches"
Does God want us to be poor? No.
Does God want us to be sick? No.
God has provided healing and has met our needs.
He provides health and money.
Does God want everyone to be a millionaire? Not necessarily.
God doesn't promise everyone a million dollar bank account or an expensive car and house.
But, the church needs money. Finances are needed for the Gospel to go forth.
It ...

Once Saved, Not Always Saved

Revelation 3:5 says “He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. Iwill never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.”

If Jesus mentioned that He will never blot out a name from the book of life, then it seems that it is possible that a name could be blotted out.

Ephesians 4:30 tells us that by the ...

Discipline Is Not A Dirty Word

Discipline is defined as “activity, exercise, or a regimen that develops or improves a skill; training, the rigor or training effect of experience, and training to act and behavior in accord with rules of conduct.”

Discipline is not a dirty word. Discipline is the key element found in every successful person. All successful people have disciplined themselves to do what they have to do to get what they love. ...

Everything Is Not Meant For A Reason

You can’t say everything was meant for a reason, because that goes against God’s Word.

God is pure and holy, so God can’t have anything to do with sin.

If you have sin in your life, you have to repent and turn from your sin.

The Bible says turn from your wicked ways.

If you continue to sin, you will reap the consequences of that.

God is Not in Control- Changing Your Paradigm on the Christian’s Responsibility

A lot of people say “God is in control.”

Not necessarily.

First, let's look at how God is in control…

God created everything (Colossians 1:16, Revelation 4:11).

God is the God of gods, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords (Deuteronomy 10:17, Psalms 136:3, 1 Timothy 6:15, Revelation 17:14, Revelation 19:16).

Proverbs 16:9 “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.”

Psalm 37:23 “The steps of ...
